Octopus Hot Dog....NEVER AGAIN

Ok, so I thought I would be creative and use this kid cookbook that my mom gave me. I was pretty proud of myself for making something fun for the kids instead of the same 'ol stuff. I thought the hot dog octopus would be a hit with the kids....boy was I wrong. What a waste of food. The kids were a little freaked out by the whole thing. They wouldn't touch it. I still think that the display turned out pretty cute with the "green" Ramon noodles as seaweed! Ya live and ya learn...

I think this is acutally a really cute idea! If Jaylee liked hot dogs, I would try it. She looked at the picture and said, "That's a silly toy Mommy" I guess it's just not recognizable as food! Kudos for trying to be creative though!

I'm laughing so hard! That is so adorable -- and I can understand the slightly creepy at the same time. So glad you found us!

That is so funny--it made me laugh out loud! My kids would have freaked over that too--what is that cookbook thinking--green noodles and a hotdog standing up--weird! :) Glad you took a pic, priceless!
