I just finished the last Harry Potter book. I haven't read a book for pleasure for over three years. I didn't feel like I should be reading books instead of the ones that I needed to read for my Master's degree. It was a punishment I put on myself until I finished my thesis. I know, I'm a little psycho, but I knew how bad I wanted to finish. The book was better than I ever imagined, I LOVED IT! I've missed reading. If you haven't read the Harry Potter series, you are crazy.
On to the next book. Any suggestions? I heard the Twilight series is good, but I can't decide what to read next.

Swimming, Zoo, SKUNK update!

Connelly and Oaklyn have discovered a LOVE for swimming. I guess that comes with the territory of being in such a hot place. We stayed at a hotel for the first five days here, and we went swimming almost every day. We had a blast taking turns with them in the water. Connelly's favorite game is to play "batman" and Dan throws him as high as he can in the air. HE LOVES IT!

What a heart breaker he will be someday. I couldn't resist putting this cute picture of my handsome little man on here!!

The hotel room was interesting. We survived, but living in a tight space was a little challenging. Londyn learned quickly that if she stood on her tippy toes, she could see us from her port a crib. She stood there grinning at us as if to say, "I'm not EVER going to sleep!"

Londyn went swimming with us too for the first time. SHE LOVED IT!! She is such a water baby. She deliberately tries to stick her face in the water. It's so cute!

Last week, I got to take the kids to the zoo with their Grandma Julie. It was so fun. We went early in the morning and the animals were all so active. The leopard was INCHES from Oaklyn's face just pacing back and forth on the other side of the glass. It was sweet. The lions were roaring and the monkeys were SOOO loud. The kids had a blast, but I think I may have had more fun than them!!! I don't remember seeing the animals active like that!
Here are the kids sitting in front of the "skunk" (actually a monkey). I think they are a little obsessed with skunks because of the skunk incidence a few months back. By the way, I was informed that I never told the conclusion of that saga. After MANY attempts of catching him (or her), Dan finally just opened the crawl space access panel and left it open for the night...low and behold small muddy paw prints were found in the morning...we've never seen the *&$^ thing since! Sorry I didn't report properly! LOL!

Quick update
So, I got to sleep in my own bed for the first time in THREE weeks. It was heaven! We are adjusting to the new place and have met some nice neighbors so far. My Internet connection is wishy washy, so until we get our Internet hooked up I won't be posting much. I started the Harry Potter book. It feels so good to be reading for fun again! YAY. I've been pretty busy with moving and stuff, so I haven't gotten too far yet.
Dan is doing good adjusting to the new job. He's learning fast in the office and will be on his own in no time. (I've been helping him learn the office stuff).
The kids are adjusting well. We got the kid's rooms set up and are waiting for their twin mattresses to come. Their rooms look a little silly right now because their toddler mattresses are on their beds.
We're slowly, but surely getting organized. Ty and Whitney came to visit today. That was a fun surprise to catch up. We've LOVED St. George so far! I'll post some pictures soon.

Change is good!
Well, our plans have changed! I'm excited to say that we are going to St. George after all! YAY! Dan and his dad and his uncle are going to start a business, but it's been pretty tough to get it off the ground. So, we've been waiting for some steps to be taken for progress, and nothing has started to happen yet.
So, after a few weeks of being HOMELESS...we've made the decision to go to St. George. I am SUPER pumped because that's where we've wanted to live for the past 3 years. It was pretty crazy how it all worked out because we really didn't know what we were doing for a little bit.
I won't give too many details, but we knew we weren't suppose to be in Cedar anymore. I had an extremely special spiritual experience. So, although we took a risk by moving from there, we feel like we made the right choice. This will also open a new chapter of our lives. I will be staying home with the kids. I am a little scared because I rely on Dan, A LOT. So, we'll have some adjusting to do. Wish us luck!!

MY THESIS IS DONE!!!
To those of you who care, I just finished my master's thesis and although it is basically 1:00 in the morning, I feel like running a freaking marathon right now. I am so glad to be done with this task that has been hanging over my head for such a long time. The only downfall is that I could totally hand it in and then have to make a million revisions all over again. BLAAAHHHH. I worked really hard on it and made a bunch of really good changes, so I hope that this time it will only need minor fixes after this. I guess we'll see! Either way, I'm stoked to have gotten it done. YIIIIPPPPPEEEEE! I have to thank my mother-in-law because I seriously couldn't have done this without her. Over the past week, me and my three kids have bombarded her house and she has REALLY helped me. She took the kids and was so understanding about my desire to get this done. THANKS SO MUCH! Dan missed the stress of this week, he's in California helping his dad.(I've been SOOO much fun this week, he's probably glad he's far away from me! LOL.)
Love you all!!! To those that know my self inflicted punishment...READ ON...READ ON... is all I have to say!!! I'm so excited.

We are ALIVE!
I just wanted to write a quick post to let you all know that we are still alive! We went to fish lake for a few days and we are now in Salt Lake. I've been working steadily on my Master's Thesis over the past week, so I won't be able to really get updated on posting until that is ready to be turned in.
I miss all my friends in CEDAR!!!! I'll be posting soon, I promise.
