Pregnancy #4

This pregnancy has been a lot different than my others. I find myself wishing that I had taken a better journal of my other cravings from my first three kiddos, so this post is dedicated to the details of this pregnancy.

#1. I'm craving orange juice like crazy.
#2. I'm craving watermelon and other fruit.
#3. I am sicker than my other pregnancies. Unless I have something in my stomach, I am extremely nauseous. I remember this happening in spurts when I was pregnant with Oaklyn, but not constantly like this is.
#4. I have thrown up spaghetti twice. It sounds so good until I eat it and then it doesn't sit well.
#5. Even though I'm nauseous, I haven't thrown up as much as I did with my other pregnancies. It is a weird combination.
#6. I'm sicker at night than during the day, and it hits me like a ton of bricks.
#7. Burger King Jr. Whoppers (with cheese) seem to taste really good.
#8. Diet soda...which I drank too much of before I got preggers, tastes like crap now. :(
#9. I have had 6 or 7 migraine headaches so far.
#10. A Wendy's side salad smothered with a Wendy's Chili is my most recent craving.
#11. Last night I peed 5 times in the night. REALLY, is this necessary??? Why does this have to start this early???

Weird stuff.

Now I need to choose a doctor. It is a very hard decision this time because I have so many to choose from. I'm 11 weeks today, so I need to get on that wagon. I need an appointment ASAP. There are a million OB-GYNs in St. George...at least that's how it feels. My first three kids were all delivered by the same guy in Cedar City. I was tempted to go back there, but it seemed silly to drive that far. So, I'll be picking one soon.

I'm freaking out about having FOUR kids. That seems like an army to me. Ha ha. OK not really, but I don't feel old enough to have that many kids (no offense to you if you have that many already) but I still feel too young for this. Ready or not, here it comes.

Come back to Dr. Sanders!!!! (But you're right--that would be a nightmare to coordinate with school and kids and everything else you're doing.) My sister is going to the Intermountain Women's Health clinic with Dr. Chalmers and Fagnant. I've heard from lots of people that it's a good place to go.

Don't you LOVE all the fun things that happen to you while you're pregnant??? See if you can get a prescription for ondansteron (Zofran). That really helped with my nausea.

I wanted Chinese food ALL the time when I was pregnant with Luke. I'm glad Wendy's is keeping you going!

Ha! I was going to tell you that I loved my Doc so much in Vegas I have actually considered traveling that far. (if I decide to have another...) So you will probably think I am crazy!! To me Cedar seems close:) But really... you have 3 kids already. That would be hard to coordinate schedules! But I will be home soon so I will be there to help out!!

See you soon!!

p.s. you still good to pick us up? In St. G? On the 27 around 11:30 maybe noon... I can't remember... let me know if plans change! I can find someone else if I need to:)

Dr. Lunt. He has an awesome nurse practitioner too and if you want a doc that actually spends time with you during delivery to make sure everything is going smoothly and even check in on you during the day or night he's the one to go with. He's delivered all 4 of mine he's great!

Wow-Congrats, Brooke! I know it's miserable but I'm still excited for you;)
I know how you feel-it is so hard to find a new dr. after you have one you like already. I delivered in Cedar City even though we are 4 1/2 hours away....
Miss you!

Congrats on pregnancy #4! I was really behind on reading your blog! I'm so sorry you have been sick, though. It is seriously so hard. I was really sick with Malea, throwing up pretty much every day until 14 weeks or so. With this one, I was even sicker, but I heard about this medication called Zofran that I started taking, and it was a life saver! I still didn't feel 100%, but it took the edge off. I had to take it twice a day because I was nauseous ALL DAY. (One warning though (sorry for the TMI but I appreciated someone warning me about this), it can cause constipation. But I took a stool softener and it was bearable.) Anyway, I hope it subsides soon! I can't imagine being sick with 3 other kids...it was hard enough with just one other child! Love you, hang in there!

Congrats on baby 4! That is so awesome!! I would suggest Dr.Chalmers in the Women's Clinic across from the old hospital. He really is an AMAZING doctor. Very kind and considerate and I believe in it for the love of bringing babies into this world. Many people from Pinevalley have also experienced the same feelings and experience with him. Good luck!
