Man Date!

I have the best wife in the world! A few days ago my brother in law Phil called and asked if I wanted to go to the Colors concert down here at SUU. Of course I wanted to go, but I wanted Brooke to come too. She said that it was just fine and she would stay home with the kids so I could go. Then a few hours later Phil texted me and asked if I wanted to go fishing before the concert. My wonderful wife just smiled and said "Sure, go have a boys day out"! Anyway, we fished the Kanarriville Falls river for about four hours or so and caught well over 50 fish. Then later we went to the concert, Colors was awesome! I wish they would perform more. Thanks honey for letting me and Phil go on our Man Date! Here are some of the pics we took fishing. This is why I love living in Southern Utah!!!

Londyn is 4 months old!!

I can't believe my little Londers (her nickname from Mommy) is already 4 months old. Time flies. She is doing great. She is getting used to sleeping in her crib and is really a pretty easy-going baby. She still absolutely LOVES to be held. (Mommy likes this...snuggle time is the best!) She's also very content just laying on a blanket staring around. She's starting to giggle too! Daddy can really make her laugh. It cracks me up.
She drools up a storm. Her clothes are drenched by mid-day. Oaklyn and Connelly absolutely love her. They love to hold her and take turns with her several times everyday. Wow, isn't life great...seriously. I just love having a new baby. I love her so much. Oh, by the way Daddy has several nicknames for her too: Fuzzbucket (most popular) and Fuzzy!

Husband Tag Completed!

10 years ago:
Ten years ago I was a little freshman in college at SUU, having the time of my pre-mission life! I was roommates with Russell "The Love Muscle" Thompson. We lived at the Village Apartments, yes the dump at the south end of Cedar. My life was consumed with pretty much nothing but Acclamation. School was kind of pointless. I had my mission call to Peru already and SUU was on quarters and most of the classes that I took didn't transfer over to semester hours anyway. So I made the most of my time singing, dancing, making many trips to Vegas, hitting the buffets and so on! This was a very important time in my life. It was my first year away from home, I made some of the best friends I will ever have, and memories that I will never forget.

5 things on my list today:
1. Well I can cross off Husband tag!
2. Change the oil in the Durango, it's way over due.
3. Register Oaklyn for preschool! That's scary
4. Put my laundry away.
5. Wash the cars... oh wait it snowed again!

What would I do if I became a millionaire:
Of course the first thing I would do is buy my wonderful wife her dream house in St. George. (I would be in trouble if that wasn't #1) Then I would buy a boat, and of course a new Dodge Ram to pull it. I sold mine and it's been a sad day ever since, but not on my wallet! Then I would retire my parents and in laws. Probably take the whole fam on a cruise around the world, ya know the ones that leave in January and get back the end of April! Who knows after that, probably invest it in something.

5 jobs I've had:
1. Property maintenance manager
2. Home Depot inventory manager/plumbing associate
3. Server at Boomers
4. HVAC contractor
5. Paper Boy

5 Things that people don't know about me:
1. I proposed to my wife in front of about 500 people. I sang to her while emceeing a pageant.
2. I have been sky diving. Not tandem, I jumped alone from 12,000 feet. Everyone should experience this at least once.
3. I was on Acclamation for two years. For some reason this surprises people.
4. I snore louder than a BEAR. Only my wife and a select few have experienced this!
5. My brother in law Phil got me addicted to duck hunting! This drives my wife crazy.

What snacks do I enjoy:
I am complete opposite from my wife on this one. I love sweets, chocolate, ice cream etc. A nice creme brulee will do just fine. Growing up with Lion House desserts will do that to you, thanks Mom!

3 bad habits:
1. I hate putting away the laundry, hence on my "to do list". I really don't mind washing it and drying it, but when it comes out of the dryer it turns into my worst enemy.
2. This one could go either way but since it consumes almost my whole Saturdays... I love to wash my cars. Not just wash, detail inside and out, polish tires and rims, the works. It also drives Brooke crazy!
3. I am very rude sometimes to sales people and servers when I don't agree with something or it doesn't make sense to ME. I will catch myself saying things to them like "are you kidding me" and "that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard".

6 places I've lived:
1. Murray (the Zion of Northern Utah)
2. Cedar City
3. Peru
4. Cedar City
5. Murray
6. Cedar City (in that order, kind of boring)

Thanks Brooke for making me fill this out, it was actually kind of fun! I husband tag: Brian Dalley, Chris U., Mike U., and Jordon!

My cute kids

My kids are at such a fun age. Oaklyn and Connelly have really started to get along and absolutely LOVE to play together. Oaklyn is little mom #2 when it comes to Londyn. She takes care of her all day, and loves to give her kisses (I swear I tell her to get out of the baby's face at least once a day). I'm so glad that they all love each other so much.

I have to write about a funny thing that happened yesterday. Connelly was wearing his superman jammies (cape and all), and he was SOOO mad. I couldn't figure out why he got so mad so fast. Well, he was running and falling on the ground every couple of minutes. Well, he finally came to me and said, "Mom, I CAN'T FLY!" I thought that was so cute. Well, a couple minutes later, I see Oaklyn doing something with her hand above Connelly's head. I finally asked her what she was doing and she said, "I'm helping Con with some PIXIE DUST!" I laughed so hard I started to cry!

My sisters Adrian and Natalie.

"What's the good of news if you haven't a sister to share it?" ~Jenny DeVries

I have two sisters, Natalie and Adrian. I LOVE MY SISTERS! If I lost them, I would be lost.

Adrian:
First of all, my sister Adrian was a year older than me in school. We were best friends (kind of had a love/hate relationship when we were younger). She is kind of the opposite of me. She's calm, kind of shy, and hates to talk on the phone (except to me :)). Her and Nate (her hubby) have three kids. She lives in Bountiful and is pregnant with her fourth child.

Adrian has placenta previa. This is actually her second time with it. She is 25 weeks pregnant and has already started to bleed. She is on bed rest to try and convince her body to carry the baby as long as possible. I know that I probably read too much about what could happen, but ya know, if I lost my sister, I would want her to know how much I love her. I know that the chances of her passing away is pretty slim, but the thought crossed my mind this week. WOW, that would be really hard to lose her.

She and I shared a room together growing up. I manipulated her to shut off the light every night! I scared her (on purpose...a lot) by hanging over the side of our bunk beds and making a special face with my eyes. I was mean to her. She used to bribe me to make her phone calls for her. She was OBSESSIVE about keeping our room clean. She made me sign a contract once that I would keep my side clean. (BREECH OF CONTRACT...on my part obviously!). I remember dressing our cats in doll clothes together. I remember cutting hay in the same hay field and finding her crying once. She was so sad because she had accidentally hit a fawn (a baby deer...they look just like Bambi) with her swather (a piece of machinery that cuts alfalfa). She was heart broken. She's such a genuinely sweet and caring person. She loves her children and is such a good mom. I love staying up late just to chat when we're both in Holden at the same time.

Natalie:
Nat and her hubby Jason live in Delta. I ALWAYS try to convince her to move closer to me. She has three little boys. Nat and I were a little farther apart than Ad and I. She was the BIG sister. She bossed us around, forced us to clean the house, and HATED when we stole her things.

Nat is everyone's best friend in the whole family. Natalie is the one that I call if I need to vent. She is SUCH a good listener. She is the first to be excited for me, and the first to lend an ear if I need it. She ALWAYS takes my side. She has been such a great example to me.

Nat is good at anything she tries. She can whip out 100 crafts in no time. She is EXTREMELY creative and has such an artistic talent in many ways. She has a beautiful singing voice too. She is one of those people that does it all. She is the primary president in her ward and just RUNS THE SHOW. She's a laid back mom, which I love. She has the CUTEST and HAPPIEST babies in the whole world (I get fussy babies for some reason...darn it!).

My two sisters are the best in the world.

Prayers

Since I've been using this blog for my journal, I really need to write down my feelings about this week. I had the chance to go to the St. George temple this week with Dan. It was one of the best spiritual experiences that I have ever had in my life. The experience touched me so deeply that when I think about it, I get tears in my eyes. When you pray for something and you really want an answer, it makes it that much sweeter when the answer comes. Dan and I don't get to the temple as often as we'd like to. Three kids will do that to ya, I guess. Thursday we were able to go together, and with no interruptions, have a wonderful day together. We went to the temple, had dinner (Olive Garden...yummmm), went shopping, and had a few giggles as I pumped in the car (I am still nursing). I love my husband. He is such a great guy. I love his energy and his loving reasoning. I know that this temple trip was meant to happen, and I am so glad to have felt the spirit so strong. The church is true. What a wonderful day.

Thank you to those that helped this day happen...AKA...babysitters: Jess, Ty, Whit, and Becky.
