Londyn started dance two weeks ago. It was a HUGE disaster. In fact, I thought the first week was a fluke because she was sooo excited to start. So, we tried it another week. She screamed and cried the second week too.
So, we will try again in six months or so. I was bummed. She sure looked cute though.
We took the kids swimming this weekend, and they had a blast! I love how warm it still is in St. George! Dan is one of the kids when it comes to stuff like this. Me?...I'd rather sit on the side of the pool and read.
Things are going good with baby number four. I have an ultrasound this Friday, and I'm excited. Those are always fun. I am more than halfway done, but I'm pretty darn huge. I'm pretty self conscious already about it. BAAAA. I have been asked TWICE already how close I am to my due date. It is embarrassing to say I'm only 21 weeks. I'm more emotional these days, so I'm sure I'm just being sensitive.
On a lighter note...All Things Thrifty is going soooo good! I am quite proud of Dan and I. A.T.T. exceeded 6100 readers this weekend. This is the amount of people that read the site from their e-mail. Then, I have about 3,100 different people that come to the site every day. Dan got his first "how to" phone call at his office the other day! Funny. We are keeping busy, and have a few projects in the works.
Thank heaven for Dan. One of my neighbors made the comment to me this weekend that I am lucky to have a husband like him because most husbands would NOT help their wives with projects like Dan does. I am VERY aware of how much Dan helps me, and there is no way that All Things Thrifty would be as successful with out his expertise. I'm lucky to have him to go to when I have an idea. He's REALLY good at figuring out how to make my visions a reality!
Here are a couple other highlights of what is going on right now:
*I am enjoying being home this semester, and I can honestly say that it has been a relief to not be teaching right now.
*We are in FULL Halloween mode, and have already started decorating! YAY!
*Naming this baby might be the hardest one yet. Darn.
*Our backyard project was suppose to be started, but things haven't worked out on the money front. Having this baby is EXPENSIVE, so, we may not get done as quick as we wanted. (This is the part where I wish I would have taught classes...that extra mula would come in handy...but our lives would be mass chaos).
As always we are staying busy. Things are good, and we are very blessed. I'm looking forward to October, and it will be a busy, eventful month!

Fish Lake 2010!
I am absolutely exhausted, but since I was sitting at the computer, I decided to force myself to quickly post some of the cute pictures from this weekend. We went to Fish Lake, and we had a lot of fun. The kids ran ragged...got super dirty...and LOVED every minute of it.
Just check out the dirt on Londyn's face...it speaks for the entire weekend. I can't tell you how many times I washed her face!
Here is Oakey relaxing on the four wheeler! Such a crack up!
Here is my Mom and Connelly relaxing in the beautiful meadow while we were flying kites!
Here is Uncle Jason...my kids have love/hate relationship with their Uncle Jase. They love him...but then he starts telling them that they have to come to his house for a week and they kind of freak out. Check out Ashton's hair. It is soooo blond and super curly...love him!
Here's the star of the weekend. Sure love this kid. We haven't gotten to see him much for the past two months, but it was great to spend the weekend together. LOVE, love, love him. Isn't he handsome!?!?
Addie is flying her kite higher and higher. We had so much fun trying to figure out the "best" strategies of flying.
Grandpa and Con Man getting ready to fly their kite!
Here's my Nat. Love her.
And Aubs...great as ever. Hopefully they will end up in So. Utah so they'll be close to us again!
My cousin Amber snapped a picture of some of us (Adrian and her family had already left) :(.
We had a blast...but my back is ready to KILL me for sleeping on an air mattress for three nights. I think it was a combination of pregnancy, sharing the mattress with Oaks and Con, getting up to use the bathroom, and the cold. It got down to 20 degrees some of the nights! COLD for my St. George bones!
All in all we had a blast. I wish I would have taken more pictures.

Con Man is in KINDERGARTEN!!
Finally Connelly started Kindergarten. I say "finally" because he was old enough last year...by two days. But, we held him back so he'd be the oldest, and he absolutely loves it.
He wouldn't tell me much about his first day other than Tiago (his cute little friend up the street) got in trouble, but that he (Connelly) was good. I tried to pry things out of him a few times, but then he resorted to telling me that "what we do there is secret." I guess that was his excuse for not spilling the beans. I can't help it...I'm his mom...i wanted to know ALL the details. He's not much of a detail kid. He's not much of a talking kid either. He's just simply happy to go with the flow.
Today he got home and said the funniest thing. He said, "There's this girl in my class...she's a girl....and she said that she's my girlfriend. I DON'T WANT HER TO BE MY GIRLFRIEND ANYMORE!"
That's awesome.
Then I asked, "What is her name?"
Con, "I don't know."
Of course. I'm not surprised.

My kids are GROWING UP!!!
Oaklyn is growing up before my eyes! I can't believe it! Last week, she had to try out for the Mini Team for her dance class. There were too many girls her age, so the instructor needed to split the class based on their abilities. I was very nervous for her, but she didn't skip a beat. I have never had an actual "try out" yet as a parent. How scary!! She did great, and I found out today that she made the team. She is a very determined dancer, and I'm not surprised, but I was still nervous!
She also lost her first tooth last week. She has been anxiously waiting to lose one for over a year now. She is a bit behind on this "tooth losing" stuff. I think it is because she didn't get her first tooth until she was 15 months old. So, I'm sure this first one will start a rapid domino effect and she'll start losing teeth right and left!
I have one year before Oaklyn turns 8! What!?!? I have a lot of work to do.

First day of School! Backyard mud!
I cannot believe that school has already started here in St. George. I remember always starting school the last week of August when I was growing up. Oaklyn started on August 11th. It snuck up on us, and I can't believe that she is already in second grade! Her teacher is Mrs. Read, and she says she is very nice. Here are a few pictures from the first day of school. She wanted her hair braided...which it doesn't fit very well since her hair is so thin, but I wanted her to be excited about it, so we did our best. I love her poses in the pictures!
Our backyard is one big mud pit right now since we took down an above the ground pool that we had back there for summer. When the water spurted throughout the yard, Oaklyn and her friend Bailey had a blast playing in the mud. They played out there for hours! It was so cute. Oaklyn doesn't mind getting dirty one bit!
As you can see in the picture below, Dan has the line drawn around the tramp with spray paint...we will be putting this tramp in the ground in the next couple of weeks. Connelly was having a blast posing for the camera too.
And of course, little Londyn has to join the mud fun. Her face has been constantly dirty this summer since all she wants to do is go out and play in the back yard...which is full of dirt and mud. Hopefully the dirt will all be covered up in the next few weeks with grass and rocks!
Here is the official "before" picture of the back yard! We have a LOT of work to do.

It is a BOY!
It was pretty exciting to see our baby's first ultrasound last week.
Even though I was only about 15 weeks along, I could see that it was a boy before the ultrasound tech even said so. This picture isn't even that obvious, but I had told Dan it was a boy about 5 minutes before this. :)
I think the 3d ultrasounds are a little creepy at first but you can see that our little guy had his hand up by his face in this picture. How fun!!
Now, my decorating brain can start to brainstorm! YAY.

Oaklyn...Oaklyn...Oaklyn
I had the most horrible experience with Oaklyn today at Target. I was honestly soooo stinkin mad at her.
We went to buy all of her school supplies, and I decided to buy her a few shirts for school while we were there. Well, after my entire cart was FULL to the brim with markers, pencils, crayons, erasers, binders...etc (the ENTIRE list from her teacher) PLUS a few shirts. She decides she wants a Barbie.
I tell her that today was not the day to be buying Barbies, and that today was the day to buy her school supplies. I had also decided along the way that my kids needed some new color wonder coloring books for church because I love that they can't color on themselves or the bench with the markers. So, I had Connelly and Londyn pick out what kind they wanted, and told Oaklyn to pick out which one she wanted. Well, Oaklyn decides that she DOES NOT want a color wonder book.
She starts saying things like, "You NEVER buy me ANYTHING," and "You are soooo mean to me" and "I feel invisible." It made me feel really bad. In fact, it made me feel like putting back the $70.00 worth of items I had in my cart for HER. It confused me because it all stemmed from the fact that I WAS trying to buy her something. Something that I knew she would like on Sunday, and that if she didn't get one, she would feel left out once Sunday came. IT just wasn't the SOMETHING (Barbie) that she thought she should have.
I was proud of myself for keeping my cool, but I calmly told her that if she didn't see how spoiled she was, then we'd just put back all of the school stuff that was in the cart. I was ready to do it too. I would have, in fact, I almost did. I started walking back to the school supplies. I got all the way back. I started getting the stuff from the cart, and she finally said that she was sorry for acting that way. I explained why I had wanted her to buy a color wonder book, and that I knew if the didn't have one on Sunday she would feel bad. She still wouldn't agree to get one...stubborn thing. Was I really trying to talk my daughter INTO letting my buy something for her!?! What!???!!
I don't know why Connelly can be so grateful for one, I repeat ONE notebook, when Oaklyn feels like she is soooo picked on when I buy her an ENTIRE cart full of supplies. It makes me furious, and it makes me wonder what I have done to make her be like this.
I know my daughter is this way, but still when I drag THREE kids into the store and she acts this way, I was very very frustrated with her "attitude."
My patience can't take instances like this. I'm not cut out for it. I'm too stubborn myself. I just needed to vent a bit. I'll be fine, and I'll keep praying that Heavenly Father will help me to raise her.

Decided not to teach in the Fall.
I have decided not to teach this Fall, and I feel like I need to focus on other things right now. I e-mailed the Communication department this morning. The decision was hard, but I feel relieved.

Pregnancy #4
This pregnancy has been a lot different than my others. I find myself wishing that I had taken a better journal of my other cravings from my first three kiddos, so this post is dedicated to the details of this pregnancy.
#1. I'm craving orange juice like crazy.
#2. I'm craving watermelon and other fruit.
#3. I am sicker than my other pregnancies. Unless I have something in my stomach, I am extremely nauseous. I remember this happening in spurts when I was pregnant with Oaklyn, but not constantly like this is.
#4. I have thrown up spaghetti twice. It sounds so good until I eat it and then it doesn't sit well.
#5. Even though I'm nauseous, I haven't thrown up as much as I did with my other pregnancies. It is a weird combination.
#6. I'm sicker at night than during the day, and it hits me like a ton of bricks.
#7. Burger King Jr. Whoppers (with cheese) seem to taste really good.
#8. Diet soda...which I drank too much of before I got preggers, tastes like crap now. :(
#9. I have had 6 or 7 migraine headaches so far.
#10. A Wendy's side salad smothered with a Wendy's Chili is my most recent craving.
#11. Last night I peed 5 times in the night. REALLY, is this necessary??? Why does this have to start this early???
Weird stuff.
Now I need to choose a doctor. It is a very hard decision this time because I have so many to choose from. I'm 11 weeks today, so I need to get on that wagon. I need an appointment ASAP. There are a million OB-GYNs in St. George...at least that's how it feels. My first three kids were all delivered by the same guy in Cedar City. I was tempted to go back there, but it seemed silly to drive that far. So, I'll be picking one soon.
I'm freaking out about having FOUR kids. That seems like an army to me. Ha ha. OK not really, but I don't feel old enough to have that many kids (no offense to you if you have that many already) but I still feel too young for this. Ready or not, here it comes.

An Eclipse party by Natasha.
Last night was our Eclipse Party, and I had to DRAG myself off the couch to go. I knew I would be glad once I got there, but I was really nauseous yesterday, so I kind of had to force myself to go. That doesn't sound like me, does it? Of course it was a stinking blast once I got there. I'll try to stop complaining about being sick from here on out. I had a few days of "I need your sympathy" and I think I'll be ok now. :)
Highlight of the night was when they asked for all the "original" t-shirts to come to the front. Mine won! I got a $20.00 gift certificate to the theater! Woot Woot!
Natasha did an amazing job with her "FIRE" and "ICE" theme. By the time I got there to help...she was done with the setup.
It looked stinking amazing! Her place settings were darling! And check out her napkin holders...those were the most darling hair things that we all sported forthe rest of the night!
She served manicotti, and it was delish.
These two babies are about a month old. Don't they look so stinkin' cute! I got to snuggle with Liam for a few minutes and it made me REALLY excited to have a new baby.
Here is Natasha! What a great party.
Here is Amanda, Wendi, and Heather striking a pose. What hotties.
Cari, Jo, and Angie are cuter than ever!
Heather said to CHEESE big, so that is what I did in this picture! I'm pretty sure my cheese couldn't be bigger.
She hung up posters of the boys all over the clubhouse. It looked like a 13 year old's bedroom! It was awesome!
Wendi won some prizes because she said Little Austin was her "good luck charm." :)
Here were are ready to begin the movie!
Here is Heather and Trena the newest Moms of the bunch. How stinkin' cute!
The movie is awesome. I loved every single second of it. I just wish it would have lasted longer!
(Thanks Heather for letting me steal your pictures!...I didn't even bring a camera...I'm not myself lately...I'm glad I have good friends to take care of me).

A rut.
Sometimes I think that I hesitate to talk about trials when it comes to my blog, but that is the main reason why I went private. I wanted to be able to talk about what I want to talk about when I want to talk about it.
So, these last couple weeks have been full of trials. I can't remind myself enough that I need to pray more, read my scriptures more, and ask Heavenly Father for help.
My kids are driving me crazy. I clean up the house and five minutes later it is a HUGE mess again. I know this is something that I should "embrace" being a mom, but it is really hard for me do so. When I spend all day cleaning, I want the house to stay clean for at least a few hours. AAAHHHH. Too much to ask? Yep. My kitchen floor is sticky right now, as we speak. I hate sticky-ness.
My kids are in the tattle-telling stage of life. I'm pretty sure that I'm going to freak out if I hear...Connelly hit me...or Londyn took my toy...or blah blah blah. I finally came up with a rule, if someone is not bleeding, then I don't want to hear about it. I can't decide if the rule is ok or not. I guess I'll see.
I'm really sensitive right now, and I'm trying not to be. To those that don't know, I am pregnant. I'm a mess. My emotions are up and down and I've cried more in the last month than I think I've cried in the last year. Be careful what you say to me. I'll take it wrong, and I'll probably cry.
I'm worried about my brother, and my family has pulled together to tell him how much we love him. I've said a lot of prayers about him lately. It feels good to know that family is something you can count on, and that no matter what, we will be there for each other. I love him sooo much.
Overall, I just feel like I'm in a bit of a rut. I know it will pass. I know it won't last long, and I'll be fine. I have been really sick with this pregnancy, and I'm trying to have a good attitude, but I'm not very good at that.
Sometimes I take out my bad attitude on Dan, and I need to give him a break. He let me have a nap on Sunday for four hours. It was heavenly. I even went to bed pretty early after that. I guess it shows how bad I needed it.
I'm glad to know that things will be ok in the long run. In my patriarchal blessing it says, "Your life will not be strewn with roses." I always crack up a bit with that sentence. It actually feels good to know that trials are something I was promised to have and the promises are being fulfilled. :)
Overall, I guess it feels good to write down what has been bothering me lately. I'll try to have more patience, and I'll try to be better. I guess that's what life is all about, being better.
I'm due Jan. 30th to those that want to know. :) Maybe my next post will be happier...we can hope!

Girls Camp and Preschool Graduation
Girls camp was sooo stinkin' fun! I honestly feel like I am STILL trying to catch up on sleep, and it was three weeks ago! We went up to Heber Valley, and honestly it was AWESOME. The facility reminded me of parent trap the movie where they have cabins, a lake with canoes, and so stinkin' spoiled! It was great.
I love all these girls! We had sooo much fun. Dan came up for a day or two and participated in the Priesthood cheers. It cracked me up. What a spiritual place it was up there.
Thanks to all who helped with the kiddos to make it possible for me to go.
Connelly graduated from preschool for the final time last month! He will be going to Kindergarten finally! I think he's been in Preschool for three years! We decided to hold him back so he will be the oldest in his class. Hard decision but I'm glad we did it.
