I am among the living.

I have just finished the entire twilight saga. I started about a week and a half ago (I think). My brain is a little mushed together from the lack of sleep...etc. I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT! Thank you to those of you who recommended the books to me. I have never been one to "jump on a bandwagon" if you will, but this series deserves every bit of praise that you have heard. I'm serious. This is the best book series I have ever read. I'm sure most of you know for yourselves, but the rest of you who haven't read them yet. RUN, don't walk to the nearest bookstore and buy them. Don't just buy the first one, buy them all. It's just frustrating to wait a few hours to pack up the kids into the car and go find the next one. Save yourself a few trips, BUY THEM ALL! LOL.

My neighbors will probably be surprised to see me again! I might even go to the grocery store tomorrow and get some food for the family to eat. The laundry might actually get washed only once (and not turn sour and need to be re-started from lack of attention)!!!

I'm not sure I want this to end...:) Dan thinks I've gone CRAZY!!!

Ok moving on to a more important topic! Oaklyn started Kindergarten today. What??? I have a child old enough for Kindergarten....YES. It's FREAKY! She was SOOOO excited that it made it a lot easier for me to let her get on the bus for that first time. I almost shed a tear, but she just waved happily to me as it drove away, so I was ok.

She picked out her cute outfit herself and only changed her mind about a hundred times before she decided on the final choice! She is so funny about stuff like that.

I have to admit, it was kind of nice not having her here (I feel guilty even saying it out loud)! I'm selfish, I wanted to read about my sparkly vampire friends.

When she got off the bus, I asked her how her first day was. The FIRST thing she said was "Well, I got in a little bit of trouble." Oh no. What the BLEEP did my little attitude driven, red-head do now??? YIKES! (Later, the teacher called to find out if she had gotten home on the bus safely with all the chaos of the first day of school and all...I asked her about the trouble. I guess Oaklyn glued a piece of paper to the table and pulled another innocent bystander into the maddness...tisk tisk...naughty little red-head...I'll be talking to her about proper glue etiquette...believe me!) Truth be told, I wasn't surprised one bit. My mom says I deserve EVERY ounce of trouble she gives me, I guess I was a HORROR child. I can't help but LOVE every bit of her little mischievous self anyway!

I'm glad to be back! Love you all.

I can't bring myself to give into all of the hype and read them. That is crazy that Oaklyn is old enough for school, I remember when she was born. Wow, times go by so fast.

Yay for Twilight!!! Don't worry, they're just as good the second time. And the third. And . . . :) You should check out her other book, The Host. It's pretty good too. A little strange, but good!

Kindergarteners... Kyra and Oaklyn. Can you even believe it? I also had a bit of a moment-- my friend the Kindergarten teacher said don't let your child see you cry, even if you want to cry. I kept myself together and then had to deal with Amara screaming "my kyra" all the way down the hall. I still felt like crying, but not about Kyra going to school! Miss you!
