When I was in high school I took a personality test...when I got the results, it said that when I had kids, I would forget to take them to their appointments. At the time, I was pretty offended. I consider myself a dependable person, and until this week, I tried not to admit that I'm forgetful. WELL...I TOTALLY FORGET MY KIDS' APPOINTMENTS...ALL THE TIME. I guess I'm confessing!! LOL. I used to blame it on other circumstances, like working, or being busy, but now, I'm not working, and I'm busy, but with other activities like laundry, and cleaning...and I still forget to take them to their stuff!!! HOLY CRAP, I suck.
Well, I searched the city for a "decor friendly" calendar, which is pretty impossible might I add. I finally just got a white dry erase board and made my own. I have officially admitted that my events calendar was an ABSOLUTE necessity.
I also have to write a quick story about Oaklyn, since I am using this as my journal. Oaklyn started Kindergarten, and her teacher informed me that Oaklyn and a bunch of her friends snuck out of P.E. and they couldn't find them. I was pretty upset, and I WAS SURE that she was the instigator of the KINDER-SLUFFING. If you know Oaklyn, you'd probably agree. Well, she and the other girls were finally found hiding under the playground equipment at the back of the school. Come to find out, it was another girl that suggested the rebellious behavior. Ya know, my red-head causes me stress. Who knew I would have to be worried about her SLUFFING P.E. already...YIKES. I'm glad she wasn't the instigator after all.

hehehe--that is HILARIOUS about Oaklyn sluffing PE!! (Don't feel TOO bad, though--I used to sluff my Math Timings in FIRST grade--until I got caught! But, I still turned out alright!! =D) Don't worry, we're all a little brain dead sometimes...I've always told people that if things didn't get on MY calendar then I'd forget them too--the only problem is that my calendar was a fridge one with TONS of magnets I'd made for EVERYTHING imaginable--but my fridge isn't magnetic here, so I'm screwed!! What size is your calendar that you made?!? I'm trying to decide if I should make another one or if I should just break down & buy me a big magnet board to put my OLD one on. It'd have to be BIG 'cause my calendar took up the whole front of my fridge in our old place (well, the fridge side, anyways--it was a side by side one.) Hmm...I guess I need to decide soon before I start forgetting stuff too!! Love ya!
Can you blame her... I mean by that time of day she has probaly had 5 recesses and still hasn't had her snack and nap!?! The life of a Kindy-gartner! I am glad you write all this stuff down so you can always remember the funny times. I am excited to see you today!
YOU DESERVE EVERY BIT OF HER!!!!!!!!
